Matakuliah ini bertujuan membangun wawasan, pengetahuan serta ketrampilan mahasiswa dalam melakukan komunikasi keseharian baik dalam situasi informal maupun formal dengan lancar, akurat dan berterima. Cakupan topic meliputi teks lisan interpersonal maupun transaksional berupa fungsi-fungsi bahasa yang diperlukan untuk melakukan komunikasi umum keseharian. Perkuliahan berbentuk pemberian input model, tubian bermakna, role play, simulasi, permainan bahasa, dan penugasan. Penilaian dilakukan berdasarkan kehadiran, partisipasi kelas, tugas, ujian tengah dan akhir semester.

INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE

This course introduces students to the major literary genres of narrative fiction (prose), poetry, and drama and examines the interrelationships between language and aesthetic experience. Literary works will serve as the basis for studying the ways in which writers consciously employ language to create aesthetic expressions that reflect experiences of the senses, emotions, intellect, and imagination, as well as ways in which human experience itself is shaped by language. This course is listed as a writing course and as a general education course in literature (Aesthetics Perspective).

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION

This course will prepare the learners to be autonomous, lifelong learners of English by means of mastering ICT literacy skills. The learners will learn to use various ICT tools including digital tools, social media, and communication/networking tools effectively to access, manage, organize, evaluate, and communicate information in order to enrich their English language learning process. They will also have an ample understanding of the ethical, legal, and cultural aspects of the use of technology.
